When breeders receive AKC registration papers and when the above dog and all fees are paid in
full, they will be sent to the buyer. Breeders to the best of their knowledge guarantee that the above
dog is in good health, vaccinated and dewormed at time of sale, but do NOT guarantee final adult
size, conformation, color, coat, pattern or fertility as the above dog is being sold as a companion
pet quality dog only. The $100.00 deposit is part of the purchase price, but is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Buyer must have the above dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking
possession of the dog. Please keep a copy of this vet exam for your records and for the health
guarantee portion of this contract to be valid. The breeders guarantee the above dog for life
threatening genetic diseases that would render it unsuitable as a companion pet for one year
from the dogs date of birth. If during that time period the dog is diagnosed with a life threatening
genetic disease, the buyer must provide to the breeders written documentation from a licensed
veterinarian. The buyer can then return the dog and it's AKC registration papers at the buyers
expense and a replacement dog of equal value will be given when one becomes available. It will
also be required that the buyer show proof from a veterinarian that the above dog was kept current
on all vaccinations and dewormed regularly during the one year guarantee period before a
replacement dog will be given. This contract and health guarantee applies only to the initial buyer
above. If ownership of the above dog changes then this contract and health guarantee becomes
null and void. Should the above dog die while still in the breeders care, then the buyer may choose
another dog of equal value when one becomes available. Breeders can offer no further guarantee
than the one stated within this contract once the care of the dog is not in their control and the buyer
has taken possession of the dog. Common canine parasites such as fleas, ticks, worms, mites,
giardia and coccidia, etc., not covered under the above health guarantee / warranty. We follow a
veterinarian recommended parasite control schedule. Please follow the advice of your own
personal veterinarian after taking possession of your puppy or dog. If the buyer decides NOT to
take the above dog to a licensed veterinarian within the 72 hour period then the entire health
guarantee portion of this contract becomes null and void. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the
above dogs health, training,temperament and appearance upon possession. Under no
circumstances are the breeders to be held responsible for the above dog, it's health (other than
the above stated guarantee) or it's behavior after it leaves the breeders property. If the above dog
is being sold with AKC limited registration, it means that no puppies from this dog can be
registered with the American Kennel Club. (AKC) It is highly recommended that the buyer have the
dog spayed or neutered. Because of the dachshunds long-back structure, it is strongly advised
that you do not teach the dog to jump up to or down from high places, as this could cause undue
strain or injury to the dachshunds back. Please keep the above dog healthy and NOT overweight
as this too can cause undue strain or injury to the dogs back. We also recommend that you take
the above dog to a veterinarian for it's vaccinations, check ups and to be dewormed at least on a
yearly basis if not more. Any cases of neglect, abuse, undue back strain/injury or obesity of the
above dog shall make the entire health guarantee portion of this contract null and void.
